Marlborough is a small lake town on Route 2, southeast of Hartford, that shares the RHAM regional middle and high school with Hebron and Andover. Marlborough revalued as of October 1, 2025 (OPM schedule), and its mill rate fell from 37.74 to 27.10. Use each property's new assessment to estimate taxes. For lake homes, ask about any association rules, shoreline restrictions and septic capacity. Many Marlborough buyers also look at Glastonbury and East Hartford, closer to Hartford. For fiscal year 2026-27, Marlborough's mill rate is 27.10 for real estate and personal property and 27.10 for motor vehicles, according to the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management (OPM).
